FireFox Takedown recurve bow has a nice multi-laminated handle riser with attractive layering of Maple, Walnut and Oak woods. The grip area is scaled down on the 48 and 54 inch models for young archers and their smaller hands. Pat recommends the 48-inch bow for children 5 to 9 years of age. The 54-inch bow is perfect for 8 to 12 year olds.

The 62 and 66 inch models are adult sized handgrips and very comfortable. Teenagers, ladies, and short men should consider the 62 inch bow. If you are 5 feet 10 inches or shorter the 62 would be suitable. For people 5 feet 11 or taller I recommend the 66 inch bow.

Nicely laminated maple and black fiberglass limbs with a time tested and proven slip into the riser limb that is held positive with the limb bolt. Easy take down and assembly, this is a bow that you will hand down from generation to generation.

If you gain strength and want more poundage you can purchase another separate set of limbs for your bow at a later date. YOUR BOWPRO urges you to always use a bow stringer.

The RAPTOR Takedown Recurve is as bold and exciting as its name implies. This 58 inch TD Hunting bow is swift, quiet and accurate. You will love shooting this bow. The specially designed handle riser is ideal for traditional instinctive archers. The arrow rest shelf is crowned and promotes accurate shooting off the shelf, just add a leather trad rest with feathered arrows (not vanes) or go with a rubber stick on rest.
